"Greetings, Friends!" by Roger Angell returns

As we prepare to jingle jangle,
let's raise a glass to Roger Angell,
stepson of uber-idol E.B. White,
whose "Little Book" taught us all to write,
reclaiming wit extraordinaire
and getting nods from Remnick's chair.

"Greetings, Friends!," an annual poem in The New Yorker, vanished after its 1998 iteration and has not been seen again until now.
